Barnes Aerospace Receives Number One Supplier Award from MTU Maintenance Hannover GmbH

July 22, 2024 — Barnes Aerospace is pleased to announce that its Taoyuan, Taiwan site recently received MTU Maintenance Hannover GmbH’s Number One Supplier Award during a May 2024 supplier recognition ceremony held at the MTU Maintenance Hannover GmbH —Hannover facility.

MTU Maintenance Hannover GmbH’s reinvigorated Supplier Evaluation Tool (SET) allows its leadership to review several Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across global MTU Aero Engine sites. Supplier performance is evaluated based on turnaround time (TAT), quality, reliability, and other criteria. These KPIs measure MTU Maintenance’s vast key supplier network to drive efficiency and encourage performance among its suppliers.

Angelique Deiter, SET Network Coordinator from MTU Maintenance Hannover GmbH, said, “Taking a holistic look at our suppliers and the coordinated communication within the network gives us the opportunity to identify and understand differences in performance and find potential for further supplier development.”
